Our Mission

Salgado Psychotherapy focuses on providing high quality decolonized psychotherapy services. We work with an array of people from different walks of life. Our focus has been in working with folks who resonate with being first gens, immigrants, children of immigrants, BIPOC, the like. Our work centers dismantling stigmas surrounding our communities and taking a look at how this can affect mental health. Experiences surrounding depression, anxieties, domestic violence, racialized folk, and trauma are some of the conditions we guide our clients through. Our mission is to create a therapeutic space in which individuals and families can explore their humanness and unique experiences to build a wholesome life.

Our Vision

We believe that the individual work we do has a massive impact on the collective and the world. We believe that mental health and creating spaces for reflection, understanding, and acceptance is a necessity. We know that this can also be a privilege and that not all communities have access to this care or see themselves represented in this space. Our vision is to add our ‘granito de arena’ towards a healthy and kind world. In essence: our vision is to add a small but valuable contribution to an already established movement.
